and Chaka is a...

...little boy! And his name - which we've had picked out pretty much since I peed on a stick - is Camilo James Escobar Shinen. So he gets two chilean names and two gringo names! (here in chile, everyone has both their mother and father's last names. I'm Jennifer Lynn Shinen Coffin.)  I always liked the name Milo (pronounced mee-loh here in Chile or my-loh in the states), but it's also the name of a popular childrens milk drink (like Nesquick) so Joan insisted it needed to be something more. Camilo it is. He has many options for nicknames and Chileans LOVE to make diminutives! So far, we've used/heard Camilito, Milo, Milito, Cami, and Camito.  And of course, we still call him Chaka!  But I must confess, we had lots of other first choices for baby names, but unfortunately they were all banned by the Chilean government...

This is an official list provided by the civil registry of first and last name combinations that you are NOT allowed to give to your newborn baby. Tell me if you "get" any of them (hint: most of them mean dick)!
